# Make sense of the view before the treatment conversation

Bite and alignment guide

Illustrated learning, by SMILE\-FX

You may recognise a word from an appointment yet still wonder what the clinician was pointing to. These drawings slow that moment down: first one row, then two rows together, then a complete explanation you can follow from beginning to end.

Read the drawings and their explanations together.

Three visual lessons

## Start with the view you want to understand

[Follow the positions within one row](/tooth-position-within-an-arch)

Follow overlapping outlines and gaps in two top\-view examples.

[Keep the direction and the viewpoint together](/how-upper-and-lower-teeth-meet)

Separate vertical and forward questions, then read two distinct front relationships.

[Bring the views into one clear explanation](/following-a-bite-explanation)

Read a full fictional explanation with named views and a positive discussion goal.

## One row and two rows answer different questions

### Change the view, change the question

Begin with the row on its own; then read the paired view.

#### One row

Top view

- Upper row
- Front
- Back

#### Two rows

Side view; front to the right

- Upper
- Lower
- Front →

Original learning models. Each panel introduces a different view, not a treatment stage.

Alignment concerns tooth positions within a row. Bite concerns how upper and lower teeth come together.

In the overview, the top view follows one curved row. The paired view introduces a second row and a new question. Keep the view label in sight as you read: changing the view changes the information available.

These are original, simplified drawings for learning. Their shapes are fixed examples, with no measurements or scores. They are not pictures of a patient or a result to aim for.

## Learn a relationship, then try a complete reading

The first lesson follows the outlines in one row. The second keeps upper and lower labels visible while changing the direction of the question. The third brings two views into a single fictional explanation with a stated discussion goal.

You can start anywhere. Each chapter explains its drawings in words as well, so the lesson remains useful when printed or read without the pictures. There is no quiz or photograph to upload.

## Use the words from your own conversation

If you have already had an assessment, return to the view or phrase that was difficult to follow. You might say, "Could you show me which relationship you mean in this view?" That gives the next explanation a clear starting point.

For an individual discussion, SMILE\-FX has one studio in Miramar. The visit page gives the address, contact details and request route.

## Connect a clear explanation with an individual plan

Doctor\-reviewed planning and a smile\-preview simulation give you something concrete to discuss alongside an explanation of your findings\. The aim is to connect a proposed change with your goals, with clinical responsibility staying with the orthodontist\. [Meet Dr\.
